K.A. has been awakening in stages over the week, based on the Glasgow Coma Scale, in an attempt to infuse some credibility to this comic about kids in robot cat suits.
I like where this is going so far. It has a very strong X-Men/Doom Patrol vibe going on and I'm very interested in seeing how far you take the superheroic comparisons.
My only suggestion, and this might be down to personal taste, is finding a way to make the Is that aren't supposed to be capitalized sans serif. The lettering isn't bad as it is, and it really is a horribly small thing.
She seems to be on a healthy 14-15 now, though. SO I'm guessing we're looking at a framing device. Something bad done happened to the Wyrecats, and we're about to find out more about it. I always enjoy when fiction takes medical matters seriously. Too many treat the amount of time it takes the human body/what it is capable of recovering from too lightly, in my book. You're off to a good start.
I'm with everyone else-this is a really good way to kick off the story. I especially love that last panel. Who are these people? What do those suits do?
What the heck happened?
PANEL 1: Dr. Cree walks to the side of K.A.’s bed. We see her wearing a hospital gown and a bandage on her forehead.
DR. CREE: Still, you only started to wake a week ago; things may still be a bit murky.
PANEL 2: K.A. looks at Dr. Cree and slowly starts to lift herself up.
DR. CREE: What do you remember?
K.A.: My name…my name is Kristina Asuka Percival:
PANEL 3: We see K.A.’s drowsy face in the foreground, and images of her past in the background. One is the scene of her and her friends with the first Wyrecat prototype, that was in the background of the first page. One is a shot of the Wyrecats running in sequence, all in their armor; K.A. runs with lightning trailing behind her, Mela stomps across on enlarged legs, Bryce rockets through the air with his jet pack, and Lamar rolls across the ground with miniature wheels in his boots. The final image is a photograph of K.A. and her father KIRK PERCIVAL, a tall, confident man in his early fifties with medium length brown hair and a grey business suit. K.A. is proudly displaying her diploma to the camera while Kirk rests a hand on her shoulder.
K.A.: …my father is Kirk Percival of Percival Defense Solutions…he started a private school for gifted students….I made some good friends there…we made robotic suits and save lives as the Wyrecats…but the rest…

I'm guessing this story will be told in anachronic order? That does seem to be your style, after all.
