We're back! After an aborted attempt at Inktober (2/3rds successful until life stuff)and an online training course still in progress, I surface again to return to Wyrecats! In case you've forgotten...
Okay, so I had fallen a bit behind on some comics... or, you know, all the comics. I'm starting to get back into them, one at a time, and the return of Wyrecats seemed a good time to return to Wyrecats.
And dang, Neil... I missed a lot of good stuff. Great plot, an interesting new character...
Suffice to say, I shan't fall behind again!
(Besides, transhumanism has, for a while, been an interest of mine, but sadly one I can't really explore in my own comic. Luckily, I have a friend who delves into it on his comic.). :)
Thank you. I'll increase the transhumanism to compensate because I'm sure you'd be great at it. (Though I might have ideas on how transhumanism could be worked into Autumn Bay, if you're ever interested in chatting)
And while I see this mission helping on a small, tactical level, I'm a bit at a loss as to what the Wyrecats can do on a strategic level to end this whole thing :(
So I'm also a bit confused. Melvin is a copy of Mela? If so, I didn't quite capture that back when Mela hinted that she was able to actually "copy" herself.
My initial take on Melvin was that this was somehow Mela who used the Tools of transhumanism to switch genders.
Either way, I really like his and Tabbi's exchange here. =D
Lamar, can I borrow your suit afterwards so I can rescue all those kids forced into child labor to produce sweatshop goods and food in this current world?
Your dark colors are certainly brooding. And a splash of hot-pink works for fun!

The plot that led to all of this
The genius boy being held against his will to design weapons
The bizarre inorganic physiology of "Melvin"

There are no easy answers for the big picture, but believe me when I say there are answers coming up...

A different form of her reconfigurable current body. Sorry that wasn't clear.

No worries, I think I got hung up on the use of the word "copy". I gotcha now!

The third panel is so dope. I've always liked that kind of stuff...the "coffee-laptop-nerd" combo. I sense a huge fight ahead.
