Comic up late because I voluntarily evacuated my apartment in smoky Santa Barbara, waiting out the wildfire in a safer location. My apartment wasn't burned down and things are slowly getting under control. I'm counting my blessings.
And now we're back to flashbacks, from Lamar's perspective (and helping explain why he ended up going down the path he did)...if you like what you see, please consider supporting the strip on Patreon!
I like how all these shots are in the first person. Seems like most of the time, flashbacks are shown in the third person, but I've always felt like when a flashback is explicitly a person remembering something and not the story showing prior events, it makes the most sense to show it from that person's direct point of view.

So from his perspective... K.A. was doing a lot for him? Hence why he should do everything for her?

Great page! This really helps show how much he feels for KA. It really builds depth with just these couple images without revealing too much

Nice age progression! It can be tricky to make it believable over just a few years but it works :)
Stay safe from the fires!

Really like this progression of K.A as seen from Lamar’s eyes. It sort of highlights what seems important about her from his perspective!

I hope everything is okay! :)
That's really cool, your layout. I like the year-by-year style: like flipping through old photographs.

And with Bryce's excruciatingly stupid decision to not confide in her, Lamar lost it all....
Glad to hear you're okay. Wildfires are a nasty business. ><

Nice sequence. I agree with melaredblu on the POV of the flashbacks.
