Mela explains more of what her life is like as a digital persona spread across multiple bodies. K.A. tries to reassure Mela of their friendship, making her point by standing on her stunted "natural" feet. Which of the two girls has had it worse? How much of what Mela's saying about her lack of feelings as a human is true, and how much is exaggerated? Did her asexual nature better prepare her for completely losing her body?

So she really is a straight-up robot? Not gonna lie, I love this. I have a person theory that in any given sci-fi, the robot is the best character. And this comic is proving to be no exception.

As for her lack of feelings, I don't think she lacks emotion by any means. That's definitely her bluffing. And I don't think anything could have prepared anyone for losing their body.

And for who has it "worse", misery poker is rubbish and I don't play it. They both have problems and they both need each other right now.

Thank you. My preference is "Digital Ghost", along the lines of Alphonse Elric of Fullmetal Alchemist, but what Mela is/isn't in the present is definitely open to interpretation.

Holy nuts! I almost missed this very pivotal story beat! Did you do an extra update this week or am I not paying enough attention! I like them sharing their woes. It's one way to recieve relief, sharing you bad experiences with someone.

Probably shouldn't do two updates in a row, since even though I want to compensate for the rare weeks in which I miss an update, the comics get noticed more easily when they're spaced out...
