The results of DARPA's misplaced nanite augmentation serum are raise more questions than answers, but cause an immediate concern. Should K.A. go off of these photos to confront Ignis and their monsters? Should she have stayed home, surrendering her armor to another person? Would she have actually been able to sit this one out?

She wouldn't have been a hero in the first place if standing down were possible for her.

Perhaps not, but getting unilaterally involved in international power struggles rarely serves to make things better, superhero or not.

"We can just have someone else use your XAG instead!" More evidence that this could e a trick to get KA's tech? Or maybe an attempt to seal the deal with a passive aggressive jab at her pride. Hey, is that a giant lady with glowing eyes? I wonder... is KA's father, who we saw earlier, her biological father?

Yes, he is. I appreciate all the theories, but I'll shoot that particular one down right now, because this comic doesn't have anything that requires anyone to have read a certain other comic (though that does give an added bonus)

I do love to do some theorizing. I really dig your story. The old wheels started grinding early on.

Now those are some familiar silhouettes if I ever saw them.
