A week after her return, K.A. is doing exactly what Bryce told her not to do, making herself visible and making friends. Will Erica and K.A. suffer the consequences? Will it be helpful for K.A. to have a new friend at her mental age (17, not 22)? And does finally having a female Doctor Who in the year 2023 make up for all the stuff the world's been through?

I'm not sure there's that much of a difference in mental age between 17 and 22. At both ages, the brain is not fully developed, but it's mostly high-level cognition that's growing. Basically, stuff that involves experience. I think the mental age gap is insignificant, but the lack of knowledge about the current state of the world and no personal experiences to learn from during that time would hold her back. Probably being nitpicky making that distinction, but oh well.

There is no "nitpicky" in your response, because Wyrecats is meant to foster discussion. Thank you, those are some great points.

Is K.A. manifesting comm gear from her armor? That's cool. I'm sure she, and we, will get to learn more about what went down from Erica. Since we already know from "The Trial of a Time Lord" (1986), The Doctor becomes The Valeyard between the time of his 12th, and final incarnation... the current Doctor (Which is the 13th when you count the War Doctor.) will become The Valeyard. So, No more Doctors; however, the 10th Doctor (Which is actually the 11th Doctor.) was cloned. That clone was a younger, female, version of 10/11. So, We actually already had a female Doctor for sometime. I suspect we'll see more of her soon. Especially if they stay true to continuity and have the current Doctor become the Valeyard. So... Anyone care for a Jelly Baby?

It is a visual manifestation of comm gear, correct! Though it appears that even though she shifts its appearance, K.A. hasn't actually taken off her armor since she woke up...

Not a huge developmental gap between 17 and 22 to be sure, like Sarah said, but there's a lot to be said for waking up and suddenly being told you're meant to be a responsible adult in a world that's changed significantly from what you remember! It's certainly a thought exercise, and an interesting premise to work around. Eager to see how things develop!

Thank you. Unfortunately, K.A. slept through all of college. Then again, none of her friends went to college, because (REDACTED)

I really like the layout of this page! And the dialogue in combination serves to really drive the story and scene forward. ^_^
