The limited and garish color palette of Wyrecats, deliberately evoking old comics, leads to some interesting results. This page turned out in a way reminiscent of the opening scenes of Dr. Seuss' the Lorax, a childrens' book doing great work with a similarly primitive printing process. It's a dark, depressing night here too.

You may be more sympathetic to him when you find out exactly what he can't bring himself to tell KA...

You know Bryce... keeping your friend in the dark can sometimes be a bad idea.

His heart has grown cold and cynical! K.A has her work cut out for her. But heroes are forged in the face of great adversity!

And yes, I also like the skyline in this page. It's always a good idea to experiment like this I feel.

No, no, no... Bryce, I have a feeling that telling her that (and little else) will be quite as effective as you think.

Sellout. :P

He's feeling guilty for something. Or, may he's been broken and behaving the way he does out of fear. He does seem to want to keep K.A. within in sight. Maybe he's jealous that she hasn't changed.

I don't trust Bryce. He's not being upfront, and he's too dismissive for him not to be hiding something big from her. Watch your step, KA.

Keeping somebody out of the loop "for their own good" has a tendency to backfire in nasty ways. I don't foresee this going well.

Yeah, Bryce doesn't seem too happy K.A is awake and calling her shots...

Ah, those good old days. It seems like only yesterday, when you've been unconscious.

Now I really wonder what happened in the past...

I LOVE the dark tones! Even though she should celebrate being a heroine, there are still unresolved conflicts! Beautifully-done. :)
